HISTORY

South Jersey Cold Storage, LLC (SJCS # 1) is the newest member of the Mullica Hill Group companies. SJCS # 1 was originally constructed in September of 1999. The 20,000 square foot facility was constructed to handle some of the most prestigious names in the meat import business. Then in June of 2001 a 20,000 square foot addition was added to accommodate our growing business needs.

Most recently, in April of 2005, we completed construction of South Jersey Cold Storage (SJCS # 2). This is where our new headquarters are located. A magnificent warehouse and office facility that is fully equipped with all of today's modern technologies. This facility is 38,000 square feet offering both frozen and chilled commodities. SJCS # 2 is equipped with USDA inspection services (I-527) onsite and is among the country's largest facilities for inspection of imported beef from Australia, New Zealand, South and Central America.

In total, both SJCS facilities comprise of 9,000 pallet positions, 25 dock doors, and a 24 hour temperature/security control monitoring system. Both facilities are Customs Bonded, FDA registered, and USDA-FSIS approved. SJCS is a proud member of International Association of Refrigerated Warehouse, Meat Importers Council of America, Australian Meat Industry Council, and National Federation of Independent Business.
